What if tonight…
Before you went to bed
Was the last time you heard the words
“I love you” sweetly said

Would you let it slip on by?
Or would you say it, too?
As you look into the eyes
Of the one that shared this with you

What if tomorrow, you didn’t get to see the sunrise?
Would you take the time… this early morn?
In watching the hands of God…
Paint the watercolor skies

What if there were no tomorrows
No more yesterdays
To do all the things
You’ve sadly let slip away

Like watching a glorious sunset
In thanks for all... you humbly bow and pray
Or just taking your child by the hand
Saying, “Come on, my little one
Let’s go outside and play”


What if there were no more what ifs, no more todays?
To hold your loved ones in your arms
Taking the time… to look upon their sweet faces
Being so thankful for all the blessings
The Good Lord…has sent your way

What if there were no more seconds
And today was your very last day to shine and dance
Would you be ready to go with the angels?
Or would you want that second chance?
