The Marble Statue
The Marble Statue

Standing amid the flowers
Beside the gardens path
Hands clasped forever…eternally so sweet
She gazes toward the heavens above
In her silence to always greet
She sings her praise… in songs unheard
As you view peaceful inspiration upon her face
With her clasped hands of marble held in prayer
She stands with honor and grace
Many people will walk by her today
By her pose…some will be reminded to pray
They will stop and bow their heads in this garden
While others will sadly... just simply walk away
Today she will guard another
That is laid to rest upon this ground
One that had stopped many times before
Receiving inspiration from a marble statue
A soul now heaven bound
