This Life Lived So Well
This Life Lived So Well
![]() |
It is not the size of your pocket book that matters
Or the house that you may dwell
That truly shows to God above
This life lived so well
It’s not the furnishing in your house
Nor the diamonds upon your fingers
It’s the love you give to others…
That lives on after you… in hearts to always linger
It’s not the car you may drive or the clothes upon your back
Or the material things… that some may think you lack
It is the giving of gentle ways
In sharing Gods love… in all your bless filled days
It’s what is held within the heart
The joy you openly share
Through simple words of kindness
In the giving hands… that comfort and care
So hold not hatred in your heart
For it is love that nourishes the soul
Through the glory of God all around me
He feeds my spirit… until it overflows
So when my days are through
Don’t cry… for I’ve been so very blessed
No need for sadness, for I am with the Lord
Just remember me always… just as you did before
Let my ways live on in you
When you can… pass them on
In your deeds and words to tell
Then you and I can always smile…
Upon, this life… lived so well
