Someday, I'll Be There

As day turns to ebony
Where stars shine on high
I often look towards the heavens
Seeking inspiration... I gently sigh
In those moments of my most gratefulness
In precious words I’ve often said
I praise the One who hung the stars
And the moon above my head
Serenity enfolds me… in peacefulness so quiet
As the calming solitude fills my soul
It is my time for reflection… for all the days’ blessings
Thanking God… for the gifts bestowed
Lifting my hands to the twinkling skies
Pretending to pluck one… just for me
“Someday, I’ll be there” … I humbly say
As once again I sigh
To walk within that happiness
Of joy... to always be known
I will bow before my Lord and Savior
For all the love He's shown
