Dreaming… as she looks upon the moon tonight
She holds those long ago times… so near
Of those she’s been blessed to love in this life
Recalling their memories... so crystal clear

For out of all the people in this world
They continue to be an inspiration
Though they are now gone… to their Heavenly home
She shares their daily teachings…
Through the love that she was shown

For it is not the thought of death that scares her
It is the thought of someday… not remembering
In forgetting the laughter, with those once shared
The little things they would say or do…
Showing her they cared

Going inside…she turns off the porch light
Making her way to the cabinet…
Opening the door to her hearts memories…
In the quiet of this night

Taking out the photo albums… she lays them on the floor
Sitting there beside them… gazing upon her loved ones
Looking closer at each face… each smile
Like she’s never done before

Some are printed in black and whites
Some in colors so vivid and warm
As if they were here just yesterday
When she embraced them… with open arms

These images are not just on paper
But sweetly etched within her mind
In a time of memories so beautiful
The blessings of life… she often finds

And there are times her eyes start to tear
In the loneliness… she’s known
Yet, somewhere up above
She knows… they are still watching over her…
Sending all their love

Yet, she waits for the day, the one of God’s choosing
Where only joy and happiness… is all that’s ever found
She will celebrate; she’s going home…
For finally… she’s heaven bound

Closing the books upon this night…
Embracing her life with love
She wipes the shimmering drops away
Once again receiving… the sweetest blessings from above

Dear Lord, “To see them all once again”
She bows her head and gently sighs…
“I know they have been so loved and protected
For You are there right by their side”

“In that beautiful place we can only dream of…
Of perfect peace… there is no harm
Yet, it will be towards You… my Precious Lord
I shall run to first… with open arms”
