His Hands in Mine

His Hands in Mine

In my younger, long ago days
I ran in the fields of my youth
Playing in the rays of the sunshine
It was there I know, in my heart
The Lord placed... His hands in mine

Not long ago...
Carrying my tackle and pole
Walking through the woods of my innocence
Looking for the pond that glittered and shined
Of crystal waters fished so long ago
We sat together near the waters edge
As He placed... His hands in mine

Just yesterday...
We walked the meadow together
Watching the deer graze on clover so sweet
Like candy held before my inner childs eyes
His inspiration and gift, I found devine
As He placed... His hands in mine

Someday...
As we make new memories... beyond the crystal shores
In all the beauty and glory to shine
Like a baby... I'll take my first steps, again
As the Lord places... His hands in mine
