I'm So Far From Perfect

I'm so far from perfect
The Lord, personally knows... each inner thought
Times when I cried in anger and shame
Peace reassured... once again
I called His blessed name

The Lord knows my heart
Each emotional bruise I've ever dealt
Yet...When I asked for forgiveness
In return... His love and grace I felt

I keep reaching... looking upward
In each word... and deed I share
For I know they can cause another pain
Or showing Him... I truly care

I'm so far... from perfect
Yet a diamond in His beautiful eyes
Our Father keeps picking me up
Dusting me off...
Pointing toward those Heavenly skies

I am His child... even with all my faults
Through each trial... I've ever endured
I'll praise His loving name forever
Because... He has taught my heart a lot

Though... I'm so far... from perfect
He loves me... still
Guiding me onward... upward
Until my journey here's... fulfilled
