I remember sitting on his knee
Happy as any child could ever want to be
Looking at me he would smile ...
that wonderful smile
Then he would graciously... sing along with me 

I'll never forget that I was his "Little Bit"
That's what he called me...
To be that child once again... just for a moment
I would gladly sit upon his knee 

Clapping my hands as we sang the hymns
"I'll Fly Away and The Old Rugged Cross"
Still it brings a wonderful smile.... To my heart
Whenever I think of him 

Yes, I was his "Little Bit"...
and he was my wonderful Papa
Precious memories... I'll never forget
Someday we will sing together again
When I meet him in the Heavenly Garden
And he takes me by the hand
