The Soothing Sea

The Soothing Sea

Sometimes I gaze into the beautiful picture
That hangs upon my wall
Of a place I’ve never been before
Where I can close my eyes and dream...
If only for a little while
Of crashing waves upon the sparkling shores
To my face it brings a heavenly smile
There I stand atop a magnificent lighthouse
Gazing across the sea so amazing and grand
In that moment, I grasp my dreams before me
Within my seeking hands
In the calmness that I hear
Serenitys music overflows into my welcomed ears
And before my seeking eyes
I see a sunrise...  in all the glourious colors
Painted by the hands of God across the skies
Standing there without fear I lean into the breeze
As the salty winds kiss my face
Where a lonesome seagull in the distance…
Sings the sweetest of serenades
Filling me once again with a gentle and calming embrace
Then suddenly I open my eyes
Finding myself standing infront of the picture again
Smiling... I deeply inhale
And to my hearts amazing delight
It’s the perfume of the soothing sea... I smell
