Storms Of The Heart

Storms Of The Heart

Sitting at the window
She peers up at the sky
As the darkness would start
to thunderously roll
Lighting crashed across the sky…
 and she cried

Sitting there so lonely…
With no friend to share the day
She said, “Dear God, I need some comfort”
To ease this ache within my heart
It will not go away”…
Then she bowed her head...
 and she cried

As she sat there in the darkness
With candle lit beside her bed
She gazed upon the dancing flicker
As her knees fell on the floor
There she said a prayer
Like she had never said before…
 and she cried

There the glow would illuminate upon the floral walls
Surrounding her in a warm
and comforting gold
There she felt the presence
Of Gods embrace so bold…
 and in her joy...
 she cried

She said, “Even when I feel alone,
As despair sometimes… fills my soul
I only need to seek You, God
Then the storms that sometimes rage
Don’t seem that bad at all…
And she wiped her tears away

There she peered back through the curtains
Viewing a break within the clouds
Where once raged a storm…
Held in the darkness of its shroud

In the sky so wonderfully blue…
The storm was now erased
There a ray of sunshine,
Sent by the hand of God
Would cascade through the window
Gently caressing her face…
 and she smiled
