The Bouquet Of Her Life

The Bouquet Of Her Life

As the new day sparkles
In the shimmer of early dew
She takes the rose between her fingertips… so gently
Closing her eyes as if she is dreaming…
She inhales the sweet perfume

Taking some time to reflect on the beauty
As it reminds her... of her life
And there she sits upon the gardens bench
Watching the sun… slowly rise

Viewing the glorious bouquet
That blooms here today
In an array of beautiful colors…
God has placed before her eyes

Gazing up towards the trellis
Draped in the honeysuckle vine
As gentle winds… begin to stir
Touching the memories... in her mind

Lifting her hands up to her face
To say her morning prayers
Upon her hands holds the scent of the rose
The Lord has so graciously shared

It was here they shared their wedding vows
Before both God and man
As he gently kissed her on the lips
Placing the ring upon her hand

This is were their little ones played
So many years ago…
Now they are all grown up
With families of their own

As she delicately turns the band of gold
She wears upon her finger
A reminder to her heart…
Of the love that always lingers

She knows how truly blessed she’s been…
As she thanks the Lord above
For giving her the honor…
In being a mother and a wife
Now among this garden… drifts the sweetest perfume of all
In the one she likes to call… “The bouquet of her life”
