Forever Bright

 

 

I often think of you
As I look back on all our yesterdays
My memories… I cherish and hold so close
For they often get me through… those lonely days

So upon this dark and starry night
Though you are not here with me
Your memories are... and like the beautiful stars above
To shine… forever bright

In the child I once held so close…
The young man my heart shall always adore
Yet, somewhere among the angels
You received your wings and soared

Today I sat and looked at the pictures
Those that sweetly, smile back at me
As my heart yearns for yesteryear
There I dream of holding you
Within my arms, so very near

Somewhere among the stars
Where angels dance in graceful flight
We will be together, again
If only in my dreams this night

For a mothers heart is never far
No matter to the distance or the miles
For it is then I find comfort in knowing
God, is tending my beautiful child
