Dancing in the moonlight
Beneath the starry skies
With only the hum of your loving voice
Upon my cheek tonight
If I could save this moment
I would treasure it forever
Just to see the smile upon your face
To forget...I could never
Dancing in the moonlight
Our audience...the glittering stars and glowing moon
Will they always affectionately recall?
That special night in mid June
When two shared a graceful waltz
Beneath the silvery moon
In our moment that was so beautiful
It surely made the angels smile
As we danced upon the grass
For just a little while
Our applause came through the trees
Within the whispered rustle
Held high in clapping leaves
Dancing in the moonlight
A moment endlessly frozen in time
Where the moon was our beaconed light
As stars glittered in fanciful glee
Adding their sparkle to our gaze
For only our eyes to see
Dancing in the moonlight
Where fireflies joined us in dance
As if beckoning for a waltz, once more
While being held within the arms
Of the one that I adore
