I look at your graduation picture
The memories are glorious and more
I think of the little baby, I once held
Now the young woman that I adore

You have given me strength to endure
The hardships and the tears
With the heart of a loving daughter
So wise beyond her years

I just want you to always know
I have been blessed, in having you
No matter where you go in life
My love goes with you, too

I admire your strength and courage
Often looking up to you
As you give a hand to others
The kind and gentle words you choose

So on your graduation night
If I happen to shed a tear
It is from the joy, you have planted in my heart
Through all our wonderful years
