The Gift Of This Moment

As I’ve walked upon this earth
In the journey of my days
Whenever I feel that I am lost
He always shows me the way
And when I feel sad and lonely
When there is no friend in sight
To share the inspirations I hold in my heart
Upon this dark and dreary night
I gaze upon the heavens…so far
There, I feel His grace and care surround me…
So sweetly and completely
For soon the clouds would part
And as I dream of the beautiful stars
In the Heavens up above
Those that now reflect within my grateful eyes
Where His love shines down for all to see
I feel a peacefulness… I’ve never known before
In the gift of this moment
He has graciously given to me
My spirit celebrates in knowing…
I have a friend in all my days
One I shall always honor, cherish and adore
Who gives His unconditional love
For if we truly believe in Him
Someday… He will bestow to us
Eternity and more
